Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026 (AI reading, separate books by kind of work)

SoloLog is new and in early testing. This policy is written in plain words. It is a draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

Who we are

SoloLog is a record-keeping tool for self-employed people such as contractors, real estate agents and other solo workers. It is run from Ontario, Canada. For privacy questions or requests, email sololog@soloaisle.com and we will reply.

What we collect

We do not collect your bank logins, card numbers (Stripe handles those if you pay) or Social Insurance / Social Security numbers. Please do not type them into notes. Please avoid full street addresses and client private details in job names if you prefer.

How we use it

Only to run the app for you: sign you in, save your entries, read receipts and statements when you ask, and show your totals and reports. We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not share your entries with other users.

Who else handles it

Each account can only see its own entries. Statements often hold account numbers: we do not store the statement file and we do not save its contents anywhere except the lines you review and accept. You always check every line before it is saved, and nothing is saved automatically. Our server logs record only how many AI "tokens" a reading used, never the contents.

How long we keep it

We keep your records until you delete them or delete your account. We do not delete anything on a timer. Tax authorities expect you to keep records for about six years in Canada, so please keep your own copies. From the Report page you can download a zip of your spreadsheet, receipt pictures and records at any time. Please do this every few months and at tax time.

Your choices

You can change your password, download your spreadsheet or zip from the Report page, and delete your account from More. That deletes all your records at once. If removing the sign-in itself does not work automatically, email us and we will remove it. If you want something corrected or deleted that you cannot do yourself, email us and we will do it. Please keep your own copy of important records. This app is not a replacement for the records a tax authority may ask you to keep, and you should keep receipts and logbooks for at least six years.

Keeping it safe

Connections are encrypted. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password. If we learn of a problem that affects your information, we will tell you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes too.
